Knob Creek
Single Barrel, 120 Proof Bourbon
750 ml
Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve is carefully hand-selected, barrel-by-barrel, to be a unique expression of the original Knob Creek's rich, mature flavor. Naturally aged in new, charred American Oak barrels, Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve is bottled at near barrel proof to maintain its strong, rich flavors and aromas. Unlike other bourbons, which are blended together from multiple barrels to create a uniform taste, each barrel of Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve, once hand-selected, is cut with water and bottled individually in order to preserve its integrity and unique flavor profile. This process allows for variations in taste, color and aroma in each batch of bourbon.

1995 Bruno Giacosa
Barolo Falletto
750 ml
This wine possesses a medium dark ruby color with some lightening at the edge. The intense nose of cedar, spice box, soy, tar, rose petals, and black fruits is followed by a wine with a sweet attack, full body, and dense, layered, concentrated spicy flavors. As this muscular, tannic wine sat in the glass, all spice and dried herbs became increasingly apparent.

Ferrari-Carano Prevail
2006 West Face
750 ml
I thought the 2006 West Face was slightly better than the 2005. Again a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, the wine shows more opulence, low acidity, and rich, concentrated fruit with a heady concoction of licorice, pepper, black currant, and tapenade. The wine provides some of the dusty, loamy soil notes that are no doubt a character of the Alexander Valley hillsides, with plenty of power, but also much more up-front fruit and a softer, more velvety style than the 2005. This fleshy wine should drink nicely for 10 - 12 years. - Robert Parker

Orin Swift
2009 Saldo Zinfandel
750 mL
Saldo is rich, ripe, and full-bodied, with aromas of black cherry and bramble fruit. The tannins are soft but the wine has a huge mid-palate. The soft, lush finish lingers. 2008 was a perfect vintage for Saldo. The hot weather was ideal for creating ripe zinfandel. Drink now and enjoy over the next five years.

2009 The Prisoner
750 mL
This vintage has a deep ruby hue that is nearly opaque. The aromas elevate from the glass starting with black currant, dark blackberry, cherry, and cassis rounded out by subtle hints of seasoned French and American oak. The entry of the wine is massive and leads into a lush middle framed by bright acid and supple tannins. The finish is long, lingering and filled with soft velvety tannins lasting for nearly thirty seconds.

Robert Mondavi
2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

“Medium ruby. Cassis, violet and fresh herbs on the nose. Then fat and sweet in the mouth, with complex flavors of blackberry, espresso and graphite. Finishes with ripe tannins and lovely chocolatey persistence. Very promising.”

Dom Ruinart
1996 Brut Champagne
750 mL
Doesn’t get any better than this!
“Pale gold with an energetic mousse. Highly aromatic nose offers a sexy, smoky perfume of pear, white peach, candied lemon, buttery brioche and honeysuckle. Youthfully firm, palate-staining green apple and citrus flavors are complicated by gently toasty lees; chewy in texture, with an expansive but vibrant back end. Serious, penetrating and deep wine, with outstanding clarity and lingering finishing flavors of tangerine, lemon pith and spiced pear. Very impressive but awfully young, with the concentration and balance to repay ten or more years of cellaring.”

YOU CANNOT PASS THIS UP!!!
“A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future. --Dow vertical. Best after 2008. 13,000 cases made.”
“Deep garnet color. The nose is just beginning to evolve into musky, dried plum and raisin aromas with whiffs of tree bark, nutmeg, cumin and cloves. The palate is seriously big and voluptuous with medium to high acidity and a medium to firm level of fine tannins. Very long finish.”

Amazing Cabernet at an amazing price!!! “The result is classically structured Cabernets that are soft in texture, rich in flavor, complex and long. Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA - $10.99/6-pack - 12 oz. cans
Origin: California Style: Rye IPA ABV: 6.6%.
Rate Beer: 98
"Ruthless Rye pours clear copper with two fingers of foam. The aroma is spicy and grassy -- the hops in this beer run more toward earth and pine than citrus, though hints of orange peel come through in the taste. The beer has a strong malt profile, so this is a well-balanced beer, one that's not very bitter despite its IPA status."
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale - $10.99/6-pack - 12 oz. cans
Origin: California
Style: Fresh Hop Ale
ABV: 6.8%.
Rate Beer Rating: 98 Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale represents a time honored tradition of brewing a special beer for the holiday season. There are generous portions of barley malts and fine whole hops of several varieties, creating a brew with a full, rich and hearty character.

St. Bernardus Prior 8 from Brouwerij St. Bernard is a traditional abbey ale brewed in the classic "Dubbel" style of Belgium's Trappist Monks. It has a ruby to purple color, smooth, creamy richness of texture that is almost oily, and a malt-fruit complexity reminiscent of coconut.

Oskar Blues Old Chub Scottish Style Ale - $10.99/6-pack - 12 oz. cans
Origin: Colorado
Style: Scottish Ale
ABV: 8.0%.
Beer Advocate Rating: A-
Brewery notes: " Old Chub is brewed with hearty amounts of seven different malts, including crystal and chocolate malts, and a smidge of US and UK hops. Old Chub also gets a dash of beechwood-smoked grains imported from Bamburg, Germany, home of the world's greatest smoked beers. Old Chub takes care of our deep affections for malt. The cola-colored beer (almost black) features a tan head, a creamy, skim-milk mouthfeel, and rich, semi-sweet flavors of caramel and chocolate throughout. The addition of smoked grains gives Old Chub a delicate kiss of smoke on the finish. Here is the beer equivalent of a lightly smoked single malt scotch, or your favorite dark chocolate." Amazing, you can get this quality ale in a can!
Scottish Ale: "The Scottish style of ales break down into Light, Heavy and Export. In the 19th century Scotland, a nomenclature, based on the now obsolete shilling currency, was devised in order to distinguish each. 60/- (light), 70/- (heavy), 80/- (export), 90/- to 160/- for Scotch Ales. Scottish Ales traditionally go through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort. This produces a deep copper to brown in colored brew and a higher level of unfermentable sugars which create a rich mouthfeel and malty flavors and aromas. Overall hop character is low, light floral or herbal, allowing its signature malt profile to be the highlight. Smoky characters are also common." (Beer Advocate)

Oskar Blues Dales Pale Ale - $9.99/6-pack - 12 oz. cans
Origin: Colorado Style: American IPA ABV: 6.5 %
Beer Advocate Rating B+
Brewery notes: " Dale's Pale Ale is America's first hand-canned craft beer. It's an assertive but deftly balanced beer (somewhere between an American pale ale and an India Pale Ale) brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and American hops. It features a merengue-like head, a copper color, and a hoppy nose, thanks to a big post-boil addition of Centennial hops. To complement its hoppy first impression, Dale's also sports a rich middle of malts and hops, and a bracing finish. Dale's features 65 International Bittering Units." OMG! A great beer from a CAN!

22 oz. bottle
Origin: Novato, California

Brewery Notes: "If One is Good, Then Two is Better!" Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic. This brew has twice the things you're looking for, and it's big enough to share with the one you love. And isn't that what it's all about?"
